Fruity scents for candles: how to capture their fleeting nature
Fruits are expressive from the first second, and that is their biggest advantage in sales. Customers recognize strawberry or watermelon without a description on the label. However, this same characteristic can be a problem in production, because light fruity notes evaporate more quickly than woody bases.
Temperature matters
Wax that is too hot when the fragrance is added can reduce some of the composition's strength, especially in light notes. Stick to the temperature specified for the wax you are using and do not rush the process, even with a larger batch. This is the most common reason for weak fragrance in fruity candles.
