Woody Scents for Candles: The Foundation of a Composition
Sandalwood, cedar, palo santo, and patchouli are the strongest bases in our offer. They are rarely the star of a composition, but almost always its foundation: they determine whether the scent lingers in the room or dissipates after half an hour.
Working with a Base Note
Woody notes develop the slowest of all families. A candle assessed the day after pouring may seem empty, but after two weeks of curing, it reveals its full depth. If you're testing a new woody composition, don't draw conclusions too quickly.
What They Pair Best With
This family builds winter lines and compositions described as masculine, but it also works great as a complement: a drop of a woody note under a sweet gourmand or fruit makes the composition less flat and last longer.
