Citrusy and fresh scents
Orange, tangerine, lemon with mint, and sea breeze. A family that customers reach for in spring and summer, as well as when looking for a scent for the kitchen or bathroom. Citrus notes work well in smaller candles and wax melts. For each essential oil, you will find the recommended dosage, flash point, IFRA documentation, and a list of allergens for the CLP label.

Citrus and fresh scents for candles: the most challenging family
Orange, tangerine, lemon with mint, and sea breeze give an immediate impression of freshness, but they are also the most technically demanding. Citrus notes are typical top notes: they are the first to strike and the first to fade.
Why they can be weak in a finished candle
The most common reason is too high a wax temperature when the fragrance is added. Light molecules evaporate before bonding with the mass, and the creator only discovers the problem after curing. The second reason is too large a container: citrus in a large candle disperses and loses its distinctiveness.
What helps
Smaller grammages, careful temperature control, and patience in evaluation. It is also worth supporting the composition with a green or herbal note, such as mint or verbena, which prolongs the impression of freshness without adding sweetness.
Where they sell best
Spring and summer are the natural peak, but this family also has a steady market in kitchen and bathroom scents, where the customer seeks cleanliness rather than mood. For each oil, we provide dosage, flash point, and IFRA documentation with a list of allergens for the CLP label.
