Festive scents

This is what the holidays smell like: gingerbread straight from the oven, mulled wine with cloves, orange with cinnamon, and a live evergreen next to the fireplace. There are no random items in this collection: each of the 18 fragrance oils was hand-picked specifically for Christmas, so that the entire product line, candles and tarts, tells one story.

The collection is divided into two groups. The first is a classic of holiday rituals: Gingerbread, Mulled Wine Toddy, Cinnamon, Nordic Fir & Firewood, or Orange Spices. The second consists of best-selling baked goods and desserts: vanilla, cookies, and chocolate, which are most often given as gifts under the Christmas tree in December. Our data shows that creators order holiday scents as early as July and August: production for December starts long before the first snow, so it's worth securing your stock in advance.

Each oil comes with recommended dosage, flash point, and a complete set of documents: IFRA, safety data sheet, and allergen list for the CLP label. Everything you need for your holiday series to legally hit the shelves and markets.

Christmas Candle Scents: Production and Sales Calendar

Christmas production begins in the summer. Creators who sell at fairs and as gifts place their first orders as early as July and August, because several weeks pass between the purchase of raw materials and a finished, cured candle. Those who start in November usually produce in a hurry and miss the best sales window.

Work Back from the Sale Date

The simplest way to plan is to count back from the fair or from parcel shipment. You need to account for time for raw material delivery, pouring, curing for 7 to 14 days, labeling, and packaging. For larger batches, there's also an allowance for corrections, as there will always be a batch with a sunken surface or a poorly chosen wick.

Which Notes Read as Festive

This collection is divided into two groups, and it's worth having both in your offer. The first is ritualistic: gingerbread, mulled wine, cinnamon with orange, and fresh pine. The second is gift-worthy baked goods and desserts, meaning vanilla, cookies, and chocolate, which are chosen by people buying candles as gifts rather than for their own homes.

Gift Candles are a Different Product

A candle bought for under the Christmas tree has different requirements than one for everyday use. The appearance of the vessel, the scent description on the label, and whether it can be packaged without risk of damage are important. It's worth preparing smaller sizes as an addition to sets, because small gifts rotate well in December.

Documents for the Fair

Stationary sales do not exempt you from obligations. We attach an IFRA certificate, a safety data sheet, and a list of allergens needed for the CLP label to each essential oil, so you can display the finished candle both in an online store and at a stall.
